The LivFit Story

Dr. Ammon Opie’s passion for nutrition began when he was 7 years old. His health quickly deteriorated due to a severe case of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. He became significantly underweight and had to crawl upstairs to go to bed or have his dad carry him. The medical doctor’s treatment and prognosis were not great. The treatment prescribed were pain medications that had a high risk of causing liver and/or heart damage in one so young and so underweight. Also, regardless of medication it was prognosticated that the aggressive nature of his juvenile rheumatoid arthritis would ultimately put him in a wheelchair.

Shortly after this Dr. Ammon’s parents were introduced to products that promoted increased cell function. After being on the product for three days Dr. Ammon told his mom that he didn’t hurt as much. By three months he was 90% pain free and six months he was 100% pain free. He has remained that way ever since. Even at a young age, Dr. Ammon was experiencing benefits of cell function. From sharing his own story, to going to the company conferences to learn more about the science of the products from the food scientists, he spent a lot of time learning about nutrition.

After high school, he went off to college ultimately deciding to be a doctor of chiropractic like his father. It was after high school, though, that he encounterd a new health challenge, his weight. While many people go to college and gain the “freshman fifteen” Dr. Ammon gained the “freshman fifty”. Shocked and embarrassed he attempted multiple times to diet and exercise to get back down to a healthy weight, but small changes in the scale would be followed by stress, disillusionment, and more weight gain.

The only success he had was while serving a two year church mission in Uruguay he lost 70 lbs from while walking 10 miles a day and not having American fast food. However, once back in the life of classes and work the weight came right back and then some.

By 2020 Dr. Ammon’s weight loss journey had gone the opposite way. He was now over 310 lbs. He knew he wasn’t being the doctor he should be, he knew he wasn’t being the husband and father that he should be. He began to identify what were his biggest obstacles to success.

1- Not seeing results in a timely manner to keep the initial excitement of weight loss going.
2- Identify why the body seems to crave food more after weight loss thus spoiling any good results and
3- How to do a program that eventually lets you live “normal”.

With these thoughts he looked deeper at the patented nutrition products and found a solution. Yes, the same products that put his juvenile rheumatoid arthritis into remission and helped him gain weight when needed could now help him lose his weight. Because these products increase the cells function and creation of more healthy cells, cells are more active and resilient to stress.

Combining these elite nutritional products with diet alterations geared to support cellular repair Dr. Ammon lost 40 lbs in 40 days. After some tinkering he lost another 35 lbs in 35 days. From here he began to recruit family members and saw the same results. He then introduced it to his chiropractic patients with resounding success.
